Tell us about your club roster, how many members are in your club?
About 10 with hopes to grow again.
How much are your annual club dues?
$40/yr
How often are your club meetings and what is your average attendance?
Monthly 2nd Saturday at 8am at Eats Mesquite Grill (corner of Tidwell and Hempstead hwy) average attendance is less than 10
When and where does your club hold its nets? How many check-ins are there on average?
We host a weekly net on Thursdays at 1830hrs local time on 444.025 + Pl 156.7 our net includes club information, license trivia, accepts QSTs from stations, permits buy/sell/trade, and will handle message traffic at discretion of net control (we are not a traffic focused net).
Do your club repeaters use digital modes such as DStar, Fusion, WiresX, IRLP, Echolink, DMR, or AllStar, if so what are the channel IDs?
Currently no, however the repeater we use has mobile coverage within the Toll 99 loop and the repeater trustee is working to link several surrounding repeaters together to form a linked network.
Who is your Emergency Coordinator?
We do not have a designated Emergency coordinator. Club officers would be responsible for any actions needed, but generally we would defer this to groups that are organized for that purpose.
When is your next training event or your last? Tell us about it.
We have weekly license trivia which often expands in to discussions related to the questions. When possible we have presentations at our monthly meetings. In the past we have hosted several “Radio in the Park” events that involve temporary stations setup in a public park, where the public is invited to come and ask questions. These events have also served as a starting point for new HAMs to be able to get hands on equipment before deciding what equipment to go buy.
When was your club's last public service event? Give us some details on it.
We have not had any recent public service events.
Does your club have social events such as luncheons, picnics or tailgate events?
We have been irregularly hosting annual Tailgate Buy/Sell/Trade events in the North Houston region.
