We have two email groups for South Texas and one for the West Gulf Division.

The ARRLSTX group is for general communications where we discuss all ham radio-related topics.

The ARESSTX  group is for our ARES members and those interested in Emergency Communications.  This happens to be the largest ARES group on Groups.io.  This group has Subgroups for all  14 STX ARES Districts, plus a handful of specialized groups.

The West Gulf Division group was created to supplement the email system, where the Division Directors and Section Managers could send announcements and newsletters to those who figured out how to sign up for them.

This group makes it simpler and goes a step further and allows anybody (Non-Hams, Hams, Non-ARRL Members and ARRL Members) to easily sign up and they are not limited to just one Division or Section.  Feel free to sign up for multiple Divisions and Sections.
Emails flow Top-Down from the Leadership to the members of the group.
The Parent group is for those wishing to receive messages from the Division Director, Vice Director, and occasionally a Section Manager.
The Section Manager subgroups allow Top-Down messages from the Section Manager and their Leadership team:

Feel free to search Groups.io to find other ARRL Division-Level groups and join as many as you want.  Then email your ARRL Section Manager and Directors and encourage them to use these groups to publicize ham radio events in their area.
