The STXARES mailing list exists so Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) members and leaders (DEC, EC, and OES) in the ARRL South Texas section can expand their communications nowledge by exchanging information and ideas.

Membership in this list is limited to ARES members in the South Texas section.  Membership in ARES only requires an Amateur Radio license and a willingness to serve.  Membership in the American Radio Relay League, or any Amateur Radio club, is not required.

Please keep topics specific to ARES communications, since that the purpose of this group.  Non-ARES postings are better handled on other mailing lists or in private messages.
